Carp; states that she is a SOCKWELL researcher and has been working on this for years. Carol states "In my opinion (according to years of research), Elener Lore is the widow of William Lore. Her name was Elener Forgison and she was a spinster (never married) at the time of her marriage to William. He died in 1772. The Charles Sheppard papers list her as married Fred Peterson in 17 7 5. I don't think this is correct. All accounts would indicate that she was still married to Jonathan Sockwell in 1775 and having his children until 1781".
